This was a frustrating painting for me. This is actually the third canvas that I started this painting on. It took me two and a half weeks to finish;to the best of my calculations, about 75 hours to complete. I know, a lot for me. But once I got it going on this canvas, it seemed to go pretty well. I think it turned out awesome and the owners of this painting really seem to love it.
As frustrating as it was, it was just as much a joy. This one held a special place in my heart because I knew this dog and how kind and special he really was. It was an honor to do this painting. Not only that, it really was fun.
